What we keep, and why.

What we collect

We collect information in three situations.

• When you contact us. The contact form opens your own email app with the details you typed (name, email, phone, city, who is eating, the plan you are considering and your message). Nothing is stored on this website; the email arrives in our inbox like any other message. Discovery calls are booked through Calendly, whose own privacy policy applies to the booking.
• When you become a client. To plan and deliver your meals we keep your name, delivery address and access instructions, phone and email, household details, dietary restrictions and allergies, food preferences, menu feedback, and billing details for the payment method you choose.
• When you visit the site. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) to run and secure the service. We do not use advertising trackers.

How we use it

• To answer you and set up your plan.
• To cook safely: allergies and dietary needs are shared with the people preparing your food.
• To deliver: your address, access notes and delivery window texts.
• To bill you and keep the records the law requires.
• To send you your weekly menu and service notices. We do not send marketing newsletters unless you ask for them.

Health information

Allergies, intolerances and dietary needs are sensitive. We ask for them only to cook for you, we share them only with our kitchen team, and we keep them only while you are a client and for as long as our records require afterwards.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the people and services needed to run Culiene:

• Our kitchen and delivery team.
• Payment processors, banks and our accountants, for billing.
• Calendly for call bookings, our email provider for messages, and our hosting provider for this website. Each processes data under its own terms.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Messages from people who do not become clients are deleted within a year. Client records are kept while you are with us and for the period tax and accounting rules require, then deleted or anonymised.

Your choices

• Ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing max@culiene.com.
• Stop service notices by ending your plan; billing and legal notices continue until your account is closed.
• California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete and opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, use the contact details above.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Embedded videos load only when you press play and are served by Vimeo, which may set its own cookies at that point.

Children

We cook for children as part of household plans, but we collect their information only from a parent or guardian, and only what is needed to feed them (age range, portion needs, allergies and preferences). This website is not directed at children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Significant changes for current clients will also be sent by email.
